Our line up is top-notch and varied, consisting of artists from Calabria to Rome, Paris, New York, Chicago, Brazil and beyond. Cecy Santana
Singer-Songwriter · Brazil / Chicago
Born into a family of musicians in São Paulo, Cecy Santana blends Brazilian roots with an international sound. Her music reached the 2022 and 2023 Grammy ballots and earned honours including a 2024 Telly Music Award and International Music Video Award. She performs at festivals and events worldwide and joins the Tyrrhenian Jazz Festival this year.

Anthony Recenello is a New York City jazz singer whose dynamic style ranges from a Chet Baker croon to the lively stage presence of Louis Prima.
Elisa Brown
Vocalist, Vocal Coach & Creator of the Soul Singing Method · Italy
Elisa Brown is a performer, vocal coach and creator of the Soul Singing method, and one of the most original voices on the Italian soul and gospel scene. Her work fuses the African-American tradition with a holistic approach to the voice, turning every concert into an intense, immersive experience.
In 2008 she was honoured by Mogol as best performer at the Tour Music Fest. Over her career she has collaborated with numerous international gospel artists and shared the stage with leading figures of Italian jazz, blues and pop. She has performed at prestigious venues and festivals, including the Blue Note in Milan, the Arena Flegrea in Naples, the Napoli Gospel Festival and the Roccella Jazz Festival.
In 2018 she released the album YRROS and wrote the track Give Me Some Peace, relaunched in 2020 as a message of peace and inclusion. Together with musician Daniele Fabio she created the project Na Vuce Antica, dedicated to the meeting of Italian folk traditions and African-American roots.
Alongside her concert work she teaches through the Soul Singing method, integrating vocal technique, emotional expression and personal growth. She has held masterclasses and directed numerous choral projects in Italy and abroad, strengthening her bond with international gospel through experiences in Yonkers (New York) and a humanitarian tour in Canada in 2024.
Today Elisa Brown offers an artistic path in which the voice becomes an instrument of encounter, identity and transformation.
Valerio Marino
Vocalist · Italy
Valerio Marino moves effortlessly between pop and jazz, guided by vocal versatility and stylistic breadth. On his new album Under My Skin he revisits eleven songs from the Sinatra songbook, drawing out their compositional depth and expressive richness. “Sinatra is perhaps the artist who explored the boundary between jazz and pop most deeply,” he says, “a direction in which I, too, feel I can express something personal.” He takes the stage on Thursday, July 30th.
Parrilla & Manna Quartet
Jazz Quartet · Calabria (Italy)
Born from the meeting of young Calabrian musicians, the quartet brings its original project Above All to the festival: innovative compositions of their own alongside some of the most sought-after standards in jazz. Modal and tonal atmospheres, chromatic harmony and restless rhythmic transformation fuse melody, harmony and rhythm into a single large “instrument”. The project’s name is a message in itself — the hope that loyalty, respect and love always prevail, above all else.

Donna Lorraine Verzaro

We are excited to bring back to Calabria the enchanting chanteuse who has been prominent on the Parisian jazz scene for over two decades. Donna marries the smooth, smoky vocals of bygone jazz greats with a youthful joie de vivre and a playful spirit. She can swing, and she is “a real lover of the melody,” confirms jazz legend Johnny O’Neil. She will take you from the juiciest ballad to a sizzling rhumba to a playful swing — and beyond. Larry Gillespie
Trumpet & Vocals · France
Larry Gillespie is a trumpeter and vocalist who played 1st trumpet with the Ray Charles big band and split lead on the Woody Herman Orchestra’s 50th anniversary tour. Over an international career he has performed with Quincy Jones, Nancy Wilson, Mel Tormé, Cab Calloway, the Four Tops and the Temptations, and in West Side Story, among many others, before returning to France. With his trio he explores the West Coast jazz of the 1950s and 1960s, paying tribute to Chet Baker and Art Pepper; his latest album is French Jazz Quintet.
He plays two of the four festival nights: Friday, July 31st alongside Donna Lorraine Verzaro, and Sunday, August 2nd with his trio. An evening of vibrant, soulful jazz — not to be missed.
Yugen
Trio · Salento, Puglia (Italy)
Yugen was born in 2020 from the collaboration of three Salento musicians, each with thirty years of experience: Valerio Daniele (guitar), Giorgio Distante (trumpet) and Francesco Massaro (electronics). Their first album Tears and Light was released by Dodicilune Records in 2022; the second, Picture #2, arrives in 2026 on Filibusta Records. The trio won the 8th Premio Carlo Gargioni for jazz in 2025 and reached the final of the Teano Jazz Contest, after a 2024 final at the Premio L’Artista che non c’era and victory at the Forum Live Jazz festival contest in 2022.
Over an insistent ostinato the trio paints singable melodies and beguiling electronic incursions. Yugen is not jazz, not rock and not electronica: Yugen is all of it at the same time. Saturday, August 1st.
Salvatore Sangiovanni
Pianist & Composer · Italy
A virtuoso pianist whose composing and arranging range from Italian classical opera to jazz. He holds a postgraduate diploma in classical piano performance from the Royal School of London, has performed across Europe and the United States and has won prizes in national and international competitions. He studied film music and orchestration under Carlo Crivelli and was personally mentored by Maestro Ennio Morricone in a private meeting in 2010; his studies also include masterclasses with Michel Camilo of the Juilliard faculty, be-bop legend Barry Harris and bassist John Patitucci.
With American composer Susan DiBona he has written more than 50 original scores for film and television, as well as music for commercials, opera, musical theatre and ballet — work honoured with three Global Music Awards, World Soundtrack Awards and shortlistings for the David di Donatello and the Globo d’Oro. Their music has reached tens of millions of viewers on Rai, Mediaset, Sky, Amazon Prime, ZDF and Hallmark, most recently with the feature Midway to Love, and in 2023 with The Answer to My Prayer featuring Grammy winner Luis Fonsi.
Bruno Marrazzo
Guitarist & Composer · Calabria (Italy)
A trailblazing Calabrian guitarist and composer, Bruno Marrazzo began playing at seven and toured with pop groups while still very young, later spending years honing his craft as an accompanist to well-known Italian singers. He studied jazz and fusion, graduated from the S. Giacomantonio Conservatory of Cosenza and travels regularly to New York to sharpen his harmony and improvisation on the local scene — he held an improvisation seminar at the Mannes School of Music through saxophonist Allen Won. He has toured Italy with Sergio Caputo and collaborated with Giorgio Rosciglione, Antonello Vannucchi and Massimo Moriconi, among many others.
His favourite setting is the trio — guitar, bass and drums — a sparse format that let him develop an approach rare for a guitarist and closer to that of a pianist, with Bill Evans a lasting influence. He is passionate about experimenting with the harmonics of sound, drawing unexpected emissions from his instrument. He performs regularly with his Cargo Jazz Trio and has been a demonstrator for Roland Italia since 1997.
Our Magical Location—Santa Domenica Talao
Santa Domenica Talao is a beautiful Italian mountain town in the province of Cosenza, Calabria. The territory is part of the Pollino National Park. The town is home to a large percentage of artists who appreciate the commanding views that overlook the seaside village of Scalea. Palazzo Campagna is the central building in the village. It originally belonged to a prominent doctor and his family who served the region in the 17th century. Now the curator of the palazzo, Wilma Laudrau, offers the space as an event center and as accommodations. The garden grounds are groomed to stage the Tyrrhenian Jazz Festival from July 30 – August 2, 2026. Please join us for this unforgettable event.
